You can’t go wrong with a Black Bean Hummus recipe, combining my two favorite things-black beans and hummus!! YUMMY!!! There are ssooo many ways to make hummus, but my fave is combining it will black beans! Black beans are loaded with yummy flavors and contains more fiber than chickpeas. This is great with all types of veggies, celery, peppers, carrots, you can use it in wraps, with tacos, chips, spoonful’s by itself (that may be a little much, but sometimes you can’t help yourself!) Can’t really go wrong with this recipe this amazing beachbody recipe that is 21 day fix approved too!!
1 (15-oz.) can black beans, drained, rinsed (reserve liquid)
¼ cup low-sodium organic vegetable broth
3 Tbsp. tahini (sesame butter)
3 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Sea salt (or Himalayan salt) (to taste; optional)
Ground cayenne pepper (to taste; optional)
Place all ingredients in a food processor (or blender), pulse until smooth. If hummus is too thick add 1 Tbsp. reserved liquid at a time until hummus is desired consistency.
Season with salt and cayenne pepper if desired. Refrigerate 1 to 2 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
